Now, filmmakers looking to develop their technical expertise can gain hands-on experience with professional ARRI camera systems and earn industry-recognised ARRI certification through LFA’s new ARRI Certified Camera Systems course.
This intensive five-day course combines classroom learning, studio training, practical on-set exercises to develop the technical and workflow skills needed to work confidently within the camera department.
Led by Khairul Amin, LFA’s Senior Technical Coordinator & Subject Lead: Cinematography, the course introduces participants to professional ARRI camera systems.
More than learning a camera
This 5-day course is designed to go beyond simply operating an ARRI camera. Participants will learn how to confidently build, configure, operate and troubleshoot professional ARRI camera systems, developing an understanding of the technical decisions that underpin a professional production.
From camera preparation and configuration to on-set operation and troubleshooting, the course gives participants the practical knowledge and confidence to work effectively within a professional camera department.

Who is the course for?
The ARRI Certified Camera Systems course is designed for camera trainees, camera assistants, DOPs and emerging filmmakers looking to strengthen their technical knowledge. It can also benefit directors and cinematographers who want to become more familiar with professional ARRI systems before stepping onto a production.
While some familiarity with filmmaking or camera operation is beneficial, previous experience with ARRI cameras is not essential.
With a maximum class size of eight students, the course offers an intensive, hands-on learning environment where participants can develop their skills using professional equipment and workflows.
As an ARRI Certified Film School, LFA’s training follows ARRI-approved standards, and successful participants receive recognised ARRI certification upon completion.
The next ARRI Certified Camera Systems courses take place from 12-16 October 2026 and 30 November-4 December 2026.
