London Film Academy Launches Two New Online Courses for Aspiring Filmmakers Worldwide

01 June 2026

London Film Academy (LFA) is proud to announce the launch of two new online courses: Online Screenwriting for Film & TV and Online Film Producing. Designed for aspiring filmmakers, working professionals, and passionate storytellers around the world, these new courses mark an exciting step forward in making high-quality film education more accessible than ever.

The move to online learning reflects LFA's commitment to breaking down barriers to education and creating flexible opportunities for people to develop their filmmaking skills, wherever they are. Whether balancing a career, family commitments, or living outside of traditional film industry hubs, students can now access industry-focused training through a dynamic digital learning experience.

Both courses have been developed to provide practical, engaging, and accessible learning, allowing participants to study at their own pace while benefitting from the expertise and filmmaking ethos that have defined LFA for over two decades.

Speaking about the launch, Anna MacDonald, Co-Founder & Joint Principal stated:

We've always believed that if you've got a head for film, we can help you give it everything you've got. Film thrives on a breadth of voices and creative partnerships - and great stories don't belong to one place. That's why we're so excited to bring our Screenwriting and Producing courses online, opening LFA's doors to filmmakers everywhere, wherever life has you. We're welcoming a whole new community of storytellers into the LFA family, and we genuinely can't wait to see the stories you tell.

Daisy Gili, Co-Founder & Joint Principal, added:

I believe great storytellers come from everywhere, and there's no single path into the industry. Taking these courses online is about making LFA more open, more flexible, and more connected to the realities of how people actually live and create. LFA started from a belief that people learn filmmaking through collaboration and honest creative exchange. Bringing these courses online means more people can be part of that community, wherever they happen to be.

The expansion reflects the changing needs of today's learners and the evolving film industry, where creativity, collaboration and digital connectivity are more important than ever. LFA are proud to be drivers and contributors of immersive delivery and experience.
