London Film Academy is thrilled to celebrate the success of Ellis Walker, a 2023 LFA MA Filmmaking course graduate whose film "Soul Mates" is set to screen at the Ealing Film Festival on 29 November.
Shot over three days at multiple locations across London in March 2023, "Soul Mates" represents a collaborative effort by LFA’s MA cohort. The film’s evocative soundtrack was composed by Bronte Tucker and recorded in July 2023 with the Guildhall Orchestra, in partnership with the Guildhall School of Music & Drama.
The film has already garnered accolades, with screenings at the West London Film Festival and an Honourable Mention at the Brighton Rocks International Film Festival earlier this year.
The two male leads, Karlu Akumas and Noah Butt, have both gone on to star on the London Stage - Karlu in "Witness for the Prosecution" at London County Hall and Noah in "Gay Pride and No Prejudice" at the Union Theatre.
Directed by Ellis Walker and produced by Jisoo Gaan, "Soul Mates" showcases the creativity and professionalism encouraged within LFA’s filmmaking courses.
This screening is a significant milestone for Ellis Walker and the team and emphasises our commitment to cultivating future innovators in the film industry.
Catch "Soul Mates" at the Ealing Film Festival on 29 November and celebrate the next generation of LFA filmmaking talent.
