Andraž Kadunc, Agustina Götz, and fellow alumni Hannah Siden have collaborated to create 'Tumbling', a powerful short film that addresses the impact of alcoholism on relationships. This project, a testament to their dedication and talent, has garnered significant recognition and support.

The journey of 'Tumbling' began during their time at LFA when Hannah, one of the team members, wrote the initial draft of the screenplay. This foundational work evolved over the years, culminating in a project that reflects these former students’ collective creative vision and expertise.

Agustina's exceptional contributions at LFA were recognised with the prestigious "Student of the Year" award, which included a prize to support the creation of another short film. Leveraging this opportunity, Agustina invested in 'Tumbling', further cementing her commitment to a career as a 1st AD and to the more significant collective project.

LFA has continued to support this remarkable team beyond graduation, facilitating their access to discounted equipment and providing audition and rehearsal spaces, underscoring our commitment to nurturing our alums’ ongoing professional growth.

'Tumbling' is not just a film but a mission-driven project. It explores the profound challenges faced by families dealing with alcoholism in collaboration with the charity Addiction Family Support.

This compelling narrative has earned accolades as a Finalist for the Oscar-Qualifying HollyShorts Screenplay Contest, a Semi-Finalist for the Outstanding Screenplays Competition, and a shortlist spot for the Barnstorm Fest Screenplay Competition. Additionally, the team was a pitching finalist at Cine Circle’s London Film Summit 2024.

Despite their notable success, the team's international composition has posed challenges in securing funding from major UK bodies. In response, they have launched a crowdfunding campaign to raise the necessary funds to bring 'Tumbling' to life. With an ambitious target set, the team has so far raised £2,735. Their immediate goal is to reach £6,000, which would allow them to commence shooting by the end of August or early September, avoiding a delay of another year.

LFA invites our community to support these talented alumni by contributing to their crowdfunding campaign. By doing so, you will not only aid the production of a meaningful film but also champion the creative endeavours of our graduates.

Together, we can help 'Tumbling' reach its full potential and share its important message.
