We were delighted to welcome Gina Lyons to London Film Academy, as part of our International Women's Day 2026 celebrations. Gina is the BAFTA Cymru Award-winning producer behind BBC drama In My Skin, and currently runs her own production company, Gobby Girl Productions.
Gina joined our students in the LFA Cinema for a personable and deeply informative discussion on her unconventional trajectory in the industry, why she started her own production company, and the lessons she's learnt the hard way. Students were eager to ask questions, and Gina was more than forthcoming with her answers, imparting sage wisdom on some of the trappings of the film industry and the key dos and dont's when it comes to pitching screenplays to producers.
