Marking 14 years as one of the UK’s leading Film Schools, London Film Academy, will be screening and celebrating the 2015 graduates’ final films at the BFI Southbank with Kubrick producer, Jan Harlan and Hannah Arterton (Hide and Seek) presenting the awards for the winning films and filmmakers.
This year’s LFA Annual Showcase will take place on 6 November at NFT1, BFI Southbank, screening 15 graduate short films and a snapshot of the past year’s co-productions produced in conjunction with the school’s Filmmakers Club. One of the films showcased will be LFA’s recent feature, We Are Tourists, starring our host, Hannah Arterton. London Film Academy is the only film school in the UK run by women, co-founders and Principals, Anna MacDonald and Daisy Gili.
LFA Annual Showcase is an opportunity for students' work to be discovered by the Film and TV Industry at large on the look out for the next Andrea Arnold or Asif Kapadia. London Film Academy 2015 graduates have completed a postgraduate, Filmmaking Diploma. They are an eclectic mix of first-time filmmakers through to industry professionals choosing a new career path. All have the common desire to work in the film and TV industry in their chosen field of expertise.
