FULHAM BROADWAY AREA
The London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham, where LFA is situated, lies to the west of central London and is a short tube ride from both Heathrow and the West End. It is a cosmopolitan borough with over 200,000 residents reflecting many nationalities and featuring a great range of entertainment venues including a Warner Village cinema, Cineworld, Vue and several other independent cinemas on both Fulham and King’s Road, shopping centres and street markets ranging from the everyday food and convenience market on North End Road to the elegant Kings Road with its antique shops and galleries, many interesting cafes and restaurants, six theatres including the Lyric Hammersmith and sporting venues including the Fulham and Chelsea Football Clubs.
The river Thames is also nearby with its beautiful riverside parks and historic pubs, and setting for the world famous Oxford and Cambridge Boat Race.
Our borough has a rich history and attractions also include Fulham Palace, which was home to the Bishops of London for hundreds of years and now contains a museum depicting its history and an 18th century walled garden, and Kelmscott House, home of William Morris the famous 19th century English poet and artist.
We recommend a selection of places for students to stay within the area ranging from long-stay student residences to short-stay hotels and hostels at reasonable prices, please find a list of these here.
